The River of Rest is a place of Christian hospitality where you are invited to rest, reconnect, and simply be.
Whether you're seeking quiet reflection, meaningful conversation, or time to enjoy God's creation, we want you to feel at home. You can have as much privacy or interaction with us as you desire. Before you arrive, we encourage you to consider what would make this time most meaningful for you.
We offer a peaceful, welcoming place to rest and be refreshed. We also believe that recreation, laughter, and enjoying God's gifts are part of renewal. Whether you choose to kayak on the lake, relax in the hot tub, or simply spend time outdoors, we hope you'll find space to slow down and be renewed.
This is a wonderful place to fish, hike, watch wildlife, or relax on the deck overlooking the river. We hope you'll slow down, breathe deeply, and experience God's presence in the beauty of His creation.
Each morning, you'll find a continental breakfast available at your convenience. Enjoy a quiet morning on the deck, relax in the riverside gazebo with a cup of coffee, or simply take in the beauty of the river before the day begins. If you'd like, you're also invited to join us for dinner in our home each evening. Lunch is on your own, and there are several wonderful local restaurants nearby.

Mark and Judyann Leonard have spent years volunteering in various locations, working closely with cross-cultural workers and gaining a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face. Judyann has counseled global workers internationally and currently serves as a therapist with Shepherd Canyon Retreats in Arizona, leading intensive, week-long retreats for pastors and ministry leaders in crisis. They both have a deep passion for supporting “professional givers”—those who dedicate their lives to refreshing others. They believe God has called them to come alongside others to provide rest, renewal, and refreshment for the journey.
